The Millington robotics team competed in a regional event this past weekend at Kettering University in Flint against 40 other teams. Not only did the team finish in 5th place with their alliance, but they also won the All-Star Rookie Award.
The All-Star Rookie Award celebrates the rookie team exemplifying a young but strong partnership effort, as well as implementing the mission of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) to inspire students to learn more about science and technology.
The team will be competing in another regional event this weekend at Wayne State University in Detroit.
