Mrs. Grace Whipple, a dedicated English teacher at Millington High School, has been honored with a Literacy Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution. This recognition comes as a testament to Mrs. Whipple's unwavering commitment to promoting literacy and excellence in education.
Mrs. Whipple, who is in her 13th year of teaching at Millington and 14th year overall, was nominated for the award by one of her students. Known for her passion for teaching, she currently teaches English 10, English 11, AP English Language, and AP Composition, where she inspires her students to excel in language and literature.
A graduate of Sandusky High School, Mrs. Whipple holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan-Flint. Her dedication to her profession is further demonstrated by her upcoming trip to Cincinnati this summer, where she will attend the College Board AP Language Reading for the third time.
Beyond her professional achievements, Mrs. Whipple is wife to her husband Kevin, and a loving mother to her 3-year-old son Mason. She enjoys spending her free time reading and cherishing moments with her family.
