Grace Whipple

Grace brings 14 years of teaching experience from both Millington Jr./Sr. High School and Eaton Rapids High School. Her expertise spans English 9-12, AP U.S. History, AP English Language and Composition, British and American Literature, and Creative Writing. Beyond the classroom, she has contributed to school improvement efforts by working on the High School Building Leadership team. She has supported students as the Student Council Advisor and Creative Writing sponsor.  

Grace’s experience includes curriculum development, mentoring student teachers, and collaborating with colleagues. She has earned multiple highly effective evaluations and formed lasting connections with students and parents throughout her career.  

In 2016, Grace earned her MA in English Language and Literature with a 4.0 GPA from the University of Michigan-Flint. Her academic background prepared her for success teaching at the post-secondary level, including a role at Saginaw Valley State University. She also serves as a board member for the Saginaw Bay Writing Project, promoting regional literacy.  

Grace is known for her creativity, initiative, and dedication to students. Her diverse teaching experience includes working with struggling learners, honors students, and those from various backgrounds. Her energy, organizational skills, and passion for education make her an excellent fit for Millington.
