Mr. Steve Bouvy, Superintendent of Millington Community Schools, accepted a
$1,500 check on behalf of Mrs. Kayla Flintoft and the Millington Physics Club.
The grant was awarded through the Future Youth Involvement Fund coordinated
by the Tuscola County Community Foundation (TCCF). The monies will be used
to replace outdated computers and software for rocket building.

Congratulations to the Millington TARC team of Max Wood, Cooper Gohsman, Logan Watkins, and Brooke DuRussel for finishing 14th in the nation at The American Rocketry Challenge.
Mrs. Dantinne's Cardinal Pride class painted ceiling tiles for the McLaren Flint Bariatric Clinic. This is the second time this class has had a chance to do this. According to McLaren staff, the patients comment on the tiles on a daily basis.
There will be a mock drunk driving accident in the Junior/Senior High School parking lot on Friday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m.

Cardinal Pride students created Angel Baby's Keepsake Boxes to donate to Covenant Hospital. They are for families who lost their babies so they can keep things in them so they can remember their baby.
Mr. Charles Andrews from the Michigan Leadership Institute will be in the district on Thursday, April 28th at 5:30 p.m., Kirk School Boardroom, to meet with community members to gather information and input regarding the new search for the superintendent.
This focus group will be asked to respond to the questions of--What are the points of pride in the Millington Schools, What are the qualities and characteristics needed to be successful in this position, and what are the challenges he or she will be faced with.
The responses at these meetings and the input from the online survey will be blended and shared with the Board of Education on May 2nd.
